  • Phil Law, General Manager Add this

As comfortable in business formal and board rooms as he is around the bar-b-q pit in board shorts and “zorries”, Phil prides himself on being able to relate equally as comfortably with senior executives as he can the men and women that form the back bone of G4S in the Marianas.

A former infantryman in the British Army Phil joined the security industry in Northern England, initially out of necessity but gained promotions and turned the industry into a career.

Arriving in Guam from the United Kingdom 1996, Phil established G4S, formerly Securewest, to provide security officers for the Military Sealift Command on board pre positioning vessels.  Many years later the business has evolved into a multi facetted security solutions provider, with new and unique challenges, life in Guam never gets boring.

Staying healthy, enjoying an active life style through adventure racing, mountain biking and pushing the envelope just a little bit he continues to play Rugby, although he’d be the first to admit the younger boys do seem to run a bit faster and hit a bit harder these days!

Priorities for the immediate future are to focus on his education, continue to develop some key areas of opportunity for the Marianas businesses of G4S and live life to its full.

  • Kathleen Brown, Financial Controller-Marianas Add this

Imagine the challenge of sailing to Guam from Canada. Sounds unbelievable….well that’s exactly how Kathleen arrived in Guam. In 1981, unwilling to spend her life with a 20 yr mortgage and 2.3 kids, Kathleen and her husband bought a boat, named her the “Cruising Kitty”, and sailed from the west coast of Canada with unlimited optimism in search of adventure.

Over a two year period, their explorations took them to Mexico, Marquesas Island ( Eastern most group of island of French Polynesia),  Tahiti, Bora Bora, Hawaii,  American Samoa-Pago Pago, Tonga, Figi, New Caledonia and finally Australia.  Kathleen’s floating residence “Cruising Kitty” needed replenishment which created an extended working stop-over at the incredibly beautiful island of Bougainville PNG.  Unfortunately, a civil war erupted and she was forced to leave the island.

Next, were Solomon Island, Australia, Bali, Singapore, Thailand then finally Guam.  Guam turned out to be a very good fit for her family; whereby, Kathleen established a long-term career with Pacific Security Alarm, which was acquired by G4S in 2009. After 18 years, her love for Guam has diminished her spirit of sailing, so for now, Guam is her home.

  • Clarence Heath, Operations Director Add this

    AKA..."the Grill Master"

Clarence considers himself a "locally produced" manager, born and raised native of Guam ("Heath"---native---hmmm). After graduating from the University of Guam, Clarence answered the "call of duty" and eventually retired from duty as an Army officer, at the rank of Major.

Initially intending to remain retired, Clarence quickly became bored and entered the private security industry. With over 400 employees under his command, Clarence has plenty of BBQing to be done.

And take our word...Clarence's BBQ is "finger lickin good" !

  • Ed Bitanga - Systems Operations Manager Add this

Mention the name “Ed Bitanga” around most in Guam and the first reaction will be “once a Marine, always a Marine”. Ed embodies the true leadership spirit every Marine earns with blood, sweat and tears. Ed’s career encompasses numerous paths within the military, local Guam government and the private sector (actually too many to list).

As part of the previous Pacific Security Alarm management team, subsequently acquired by G4S, Ed possesses two qualities that define his character, which are a “get it done nomatter what it takes” attitude and the ability to tell great life stories. There are those who believe if Ed were to compose a book of his significant life experiences, it would not only be a “best seller”, but also a made for movie action flick. “Semper Fi”

  • Vincent Walker, Business Development Manager Add this

"Life is certainly full of surprises"...while living in San Diego, CA. in 1997, if anyone told Vince he would live the next 13 years in Guam, he would have believed them to be insane...yet here he is! Vince, once a Marine always a Marine (Semper Fi)...which means "Always Faithful" in Marine talk, is accustomed to adapting to change.

Vince considers himself a “frustrated athlete”, having missed his opportunity to play professional baseball and now dreams of winning millions in the World Series of Poker(Texas HoldEm). Nevertheless back to reality, as the company manager of G4S Care & Justice Solutions, Vince has gained a keen wisdom and appreciation of the Guam justice system and how it serves to protect the people of Guam.

  • Aurora Bautista, Finance Manager Add this

Aurora meaning "the light in the southern skies", is truly an accurate description of the Finance Manager for Services in both Guam and CNMI. Since her joining with G4S May 2009, Aurora has brought a vibrant attitude to the accounting department.  For those of us who consider accounting scary and creates nightmares, Aurora has proven the ability to make sense of the unknown mystical world of numbers, calculations and projections.

Outside of the office, Aurora’s passion is real estate development and gardening. Unknown to her, around the office she is known as "Ms. Trump", in more ways than investing but also in personality.

She finds her peace when gardening, with a “green thumb” for orchids and banana plants. The best part of gardening, says Aurora, is the cooking and eating that which she has grown with her own hands and attention.

  • Teresa Kasperbauer Sakazaki, General Sales and Marketing Manager Add this

Even though Teresa has only been with the company a little over a year, her career has been in tourism for the last 21 years, encompassing significant travel destinations such as Indonesia, Japan and Hawaii. Teresa has always had a passion for marketing, with a keen talent for seeing things from the customers prospective.

When not living from vehicle for business purposes, Teresa cherishes each opportunity to be active with children’s activities, such as soccer (yes..”the soccer mom”) and basketball.  For her own peace-of-mind, Teresa enjoys interior design and architecture and has gone to great lengths to have her home represent her dreams.

She says one of her aspirations is to one day carry the G4S flag in a 5k fun run, like Vince, the G4S "flagman".

Surprisingly or not, Teresa was a former model in Tokyo, Japan at the tender of 17. She also was a model representative for Chiquita Banana and Kawasaki (US and Canada) markets, and lastly while living in Arizona, modeled for JC Penny magazine.
